The Varian Exact Treatment Couch with Indexed Immobilization simplifies patient positioning and improves treatment accuracy thereby allowing staff to spend more time with patients.
The Varian Exact Couch provides radiation oncology clinics with a comprehensive patient positioning system enhancing treatment effectiveness while maximizing clinical efficiency.
The Exact Couch, critical to improved treatment accuracy, provides:
- Identical setups in the treatment process when used with the Clinac family of accelerators, the Acuity planning/verification system, CT simulators, and PET/CT simulators.
- Smooth motorized control of longitudinal, lateral, vertical and angular positions.
- Carbon fiber couch top to facilitate higher image quality and lower surface dose by reducing radiation attenuation.
- Indexed Immobilization, a patented patient-positioning system to minimize patient setup times and help ensure repeatable patient immobilization.
- Movable side rails to eliminate the need to reposition patients or move the couch top.
