Course Scope: This course is designed for the hospital biomedical engineer or physicist who needs to provide basic support for the Acuity simulator. Topics include, but are not limited to, system overview, controls and features, component identification and locations. CPI 100kHz x-ray generator controls and features, radiographic theory, component identification and locations. Introduction to amorphous silicon imaging; Paxscan 4030A & 4030CB digital imaging panels. Basic imaging calibration, including dark field, flood field, analog offset, and defective pixel correction.
