Prerequisites: Attendance of Eclipse Operation Course; 2-3 month routine clinical use of Eclipse recommended.

Course Scope: The Eclipse IMRT Operation version 8.9 course is offered to provide operations training for the individual responsible for IMRT treatment planning in the clinical environment. The target audience for this class is the Medical Dosimetrist. It is essential that the attendee is able to navigate Eclipse well to perform basic treatment planning. It is also recommended for the attendee to have previously attended Eclipse Operations. This course will provide an overview of forward and inverse planning in Eclipse. Topics covered include: Inverse planning rationale, Eclipse IMRT process/parameters, beam angle optimization, IMRT optimization, leaf motion calculation, field in field breast planning, electronic compensator, irregular surface compensator, fluence editing and skin flash tool. Creation of a verification plan and partial treatment plan as well as plan export is also included.
